KRS will be attending the 2007 Rock Island Grand Prix in Rock Island, IL on Sep. 1st - 2nd providing track support to racers and customers.
KRS owner DJ Ortiz was the number one qualifier in TAG Masters at the 2005 RIGP. DJ had a mechanical failure which placed him 21st in the final event. In the 2006 RIGP DJ placed 5th overall in TAG Masters.
The RIGP is a prestigious street race held in the Arts &
Entertainment district of downtown Rock Island which features retail
shops, a casino, excellent restaurants, live
entertainment, dinner theater and comedy clubs all within walking
distance of the host hotel. On Friday at 5pm the businesses close, the
streets are cordoned off and are quickly transformed into a high speed
street racing course. The event atmosphere is festive and is well
attended by spectators that line the streets for 3 city blocks. If you
haven't raced before at Rock Island this is an event you might want to
consider putting on your race calendar. No matter where you finish at
RIGP it is always worth the trip with a great time had by all, racers
and spectators alike!
